adeo, an award winning creative communications agency in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking an experienced Marketing Account Manager to join our team. We are in search of a mid-career professional with marketing/digital agency experience in verticals including non-profits, cannabis, sustainable energy, tech startups and electoral politics, with a focus on strategy, client service and ensuring exceptional outcomes.

Our salary range for this position is $70-80k with full benefits, and room for rapid professional development and advancement. We prioritize work/life harmony and a "get great work done" attitude. 

Account Managers play a critical role in maintaining and fostering client relationships while ensuring project deliverables are executed seamlessly. They work directly with the client team, senior level members of the agency and partners to produce deliverables for client projects including strategic messaging guidelines, marketing plans, brand guidelines, campaign messaging and planning, and other critical assets that comprise the work that adeo delivers.

Account Managers are also integral in ensuring the client relationships grow into mutually beneficial long-term accounts, looking for new opportunities to partner with clients, managing freelance and partner relationships, following up on results and outcomes to deliver long-term value and encourage repeat business. 
This is a position that requires you to be available in-person several days a week at the Baltimore, MD office, as well as travel to client locations as needed.

As an Account Manager, you will build and maintain strong client relationships and lead the projects towards successful outcomes. You will be a direct point of contact with the client and will ensure clients are communicated with regularly including status updates, deliverable presentations and results findings.  

You will collaborate with the client teams, agency leadership, designers, developers and partners to coordinate the development and implementation of communications and marketing solutions. You will be expected to keep a lot of plates spinning in the air as well as have a strong understanding of the quality and performance expected of the work and the team.

  • Produce strong written deliverables under tight deadlines, with an eye for details and concise communication. 
  • Develop creative materials that articulate and promote client initiatives and programs. 
  • Conduct project and market research.
  • Manage digital and social media campaigns.
  • Track and deliver client deliverables, insights and brand monitoring reports.
  • Collaborate with various vendors, partners and creative teams.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of all client-related topics, issues, news and communications tactics and mediums in order to contribute innovative thinking around strategy and development.
  • Oversee, develop and coordinate the delivery of services to clients, ensuring their expectations are met.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by clients or partners and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Utilize AI tools to optimize campaign strategies, streamline production and enhance client engagement.
  • Provide timely and detailed reports on the financial status of each account.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to identify and grow opportunities.  


  • 5-7+ years of account / project management in communications, marketing or public relations firms (or related agency experience.) 
  • An exceptional writer who is able to convey both strategic acumen and creativity in your writing…under tight deadlines.
  • Mastery of account management fundamentals, tools and best practices.
  • Self-learner who can learn, adapt and grow as needed to meet the challenges of the work.
  • Proficient and actively engaged with emerging AI tools and resources.
  • Experienced in common project management tools (ClickUp, Harvest) and all primary Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.  
  • Unparalleled organizational abilities.

  • Taking the "bull by the horns" approach where needed.
  • Ability to work remotely and in person with team and clients as needed.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
