It Isn’t “Just a Job”

Working at a Women-Owned Company as a Young Professional
"It's just a job, you don't have to love it."
This is the advice I've often received as a 25 year old professional, and while there is some truth in this, I've always aspired to have a job that was both challenging and fulfilling. I found this job in adeo.
Working at adeo is, in my opinion, a dream for any ambitious woman in her 20s seeking to break into the professional and creative world.
As a women-owned company, adeo not only understands how to harness the unique strengths of its employees to overcome challenges but also ensures that having a seat at the table is a right that is earned and respected.
They approach big problems with curiosity and originality, producing meaningful work that truly moves the needle—all while fostering a healthy and collaborative work environment.
At adeo, I've gained invaluable experience in building client relationships, creating thought-provoking content, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. As a marketing agency, we handle a diverse array of clients, yet the atmosphere never feels overwhelming or chaotic despite the workload. I attribute this to the fact that most of us are women. In our daily lives, we're accustomed to managing the 'mental load,' so when it comes to work, we're well-prepared to multitask and solve problems without losing our composure.
From group brainstorming sessions to offering each other detailed feedback, collaboration and open communication are central to the adeo workspace. As professional women, many of us have faced workplace discrimination in the past, and those challenges have only strengthened our determination and grit, pushing us to excel in an environment like adeo.
Run of Show

One memorable occasion that showcased adeo's collaborative and creative spirit was during a professional photo and video shoot for a client's new line of THC seltzers. It was my first time working on a product shoot, and it was amazing to see how our ideas and planning came to life.
This shoot truly made me feel like part of a team. We supported each other through every step of the process — from the creative brainstorming to the day-of logistics, all the way through post-production.
As one of the newest members on the adeo team, I am constantly inspired by my colleagues who are not only brilliant thinkers and workers, but who are women. The women on my team are mothers, partners, artists, creative thinkers, and go-getters.
This female visibility has made me feel like I have a place in the marketing world, and with companies like adeo, I am hopeful that more women will be able to see themselves in positions of power.
