Tracey Halvorsen has been leading award-winning digital projects for over twenty five years.
As CEO at adeo, she spearheads agency culture and growth, digital transformation, creative innovation and client success. She oversees the agency's work in higher-education, cultural and non-profit sectors, recently leading brand and digital projects for Skidmore College and Mackey Strategies, as well as introducing innovative digital and interactive strategies, winning the agency a prestigious Clio award in 2023.
Her work has received over 20 Webby Awards and Nominations for projects including Brown University, Maryland Institute College of Art and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Awards.
With a legacy of industry leadership, Tracey previously founded and helmed Fastspot from 2000-2020. Her award-winning digital agency, renowned for its expertise in website design and development, partnered with esteemed clients including: Yale University, the Nuclear Energy Institute, Maryland Institute College of Art, Brown University, Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, Kenyon College, The Walters Art Museum, Loma Linda University Health, Sheppard Pratt, Design Collective, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, Tufts University, History Miami among other notable names in the cultural, non-profit, healthcare and education sectors.
She has also led award-winning interactive work in social impact and entertainment spaces for clients like MTV, Discovery Communications, Human Rights Campaign, Animal Planet and Under Armour.
Tracey’s prowess extends beyond her strategic mindset. As an accomplished speaker, she has graced numerous industry platforms. Her accolades are a testament to her dedication, passion and expertise. In 2016, she was recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist. Other memorable moments include her premiere of the interactive project "Memoire" at NYC's 2001 Flash Forward conference, which went on to win the coveted Flash Film Award in Amsterdam the following year. Halvorsen was a panelist on one of the most talked-about presentations at SXSW's 2010 titled “We F*cked Up. Now What? Exploring Failure with Happy Cog and Friends." Other presentations include "Become a Storymaker" at Confab London and the closing keynote "Designers (Should) Run the World" at the UCDA conference in Maryland.
Always keeping a pulse on the evolving business landscape, Tracey is keenly attuned to overarching trends, especially within the interactive marketing sphere. Her lens is sharply focused on the nuances of digital trends, strategic communication, and the burgeoning generative artificial intelligence ecosystems. She is also a committed teacher and mentor, striving to inspire others and finding ways to get the best creative and strategic thinking out of those she works with.
Born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Tracey holds a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. An accomplished contemporary painter, her work is represented by The Winkel Gallery in Maryland and is widely collected throughout the US.
