Maryland had never elected a woman or a person of color to the state's top three constitutional offices of Governor, Attorney General and Comptroller.
adeo was a member of each of the core teams that elected a historically diverse set of statewide leadership in Maryland, and we continue to work with them today as they deliver on their promises.

The Challenge
To help major donors see that Wes Moore, then a virtual unknown with 2% favorability with Marylanders, was a viable candidate who would beat out a crowded and seasoned field of challengers to become Maryland’s first Black governor.
The Solutions
To meet the challenge of transforming a historic opportunity into a winning reality, adeo applied a meticulously strategic and highly personalized approach to fundraising and campaign support.
Our strategy focused on data-driven precision that leveraged decades of fundraising expertise. We implemented systems that streamlined communication, maximized efficiency, and ensured the client received the highest level of tailored support.
The Impact
Wes Moore broke Maryland fundraising records as he won a challenging Primary Election by more than 2 points over his nearest competitor, followed by a General Election victory of more than 30 points.

The Challenge
Brooke Lierman, then a state legislator, put her hat in the ring against a multi-millionaire self-funder and sitting mayor of a major municipality located in a voter-rich part of the state.
The Solutions
We ensured the candidate never faced the daunting task of reaching out to donors alone along with a highly favorable rate of return through strategic donor targeting.
Our team's deep knowledge of Maryland’s political landscape and donor networks provided well-researched lists of supporters most likely to invest in Brooke's mission and vision.
By crafting values-driven fundraising events that reflected Brooke's unique personality and the feel of her campaign, we fostered meaningful connections between the candidate and her supporters.
The Impact
Brooke Lierman is the first woman to be independently elected to one of Maryland’s three constitutional offices and currently serves as the 34thComptroller of Maryland.

The Challenge
Anthony Brown ran for Attorney General against a legacy candidate who had served as First Lady of Maryland, and whose father had been an extremely popular Attorney General himself.
The Solutions
From tracking fundraising milestones to providing on-demand support, we treated our clients’ goals as our own and delivered due to our commitment to relentess execution.
We monitored every dollar raised with precision, focusing on results that mattered—building resources without compromising relationships.
The Impact
Anthony Brown broke barriers and now serves as Maryland’s first Black Attorney General, showcasing the power of well-crafted messaging and donor engagement.
For the first time in Maryland's history, the Governor, Attorney General, and Comptroller positions are currently held by this diverse slate of leaders—a significant milestone for representation and progress..
